Hepatitis A
     Hepatitis B
     Hepatitis C
Hepatitis means “inflammation of the liver”.
There are five hepatitis viruses that affect the liver:  A, B, C, D, and E. These viruses, which may cause similar symptoms, are very different. There are vaccines for hepatitis A and B and all MSM who are sexually active should consider being vaccinated.

There are a couple testing and vaccination options:
If you are sexually active, make (sexually transmitted infection) STD testing part of your routine. You have a few options:
  • Visit a testing and vaccination site for free or low-cost testing and vaccination
  • Get tested and vaccinated at your own health care provider's office or health center

Blood testing is the primary way of diagnosing hepatitis.
